The political action of black women in Brazil has been stimulating mentality changes in Brazilian society, denouncing the violent deaths of black people in the country and abroad. Thus, they daily build a social narrative that racism is a crime and black lives matter.

CEDENPA was founded in 1980 with its objectives directly linked to the fight against racism and socio-racial and gender inequalities, operating at the municipal, state, national and, to a lesser extent, international level, through forums, councils, and other means. Currently, it is connected to different networks, among them: Rede Bragantina de Economia Solidária, Rede Fulanas, AMNB, Coalizão Negra por Direitos, ABONG and Fórum da Amazônia Oriental.
